Tuesdays are my real Mondays
Weekends are family time (unless there is a dire work situation going on- and let’s face it- that doesn’t happen too often when you have no agent or publisher. LOL). That is what I declared when I started consulting and writing. I didn’t want my daughter and The Man to feel like it is never about them. So, I tend to stay off the computer (unless we are all on our computers- which does happen occasionally- sigh. But at least we are all in the same room.).
Until Monday morning.
When I first boot my laptop, there is all the email that I feel compelled to clean out of my inbox (besides, I already read it on my Blackberry). And then I have to check my favorite news sites so that I can post interesting stories on my Facebook. And then I have to go read the blogs that I don’t get directly in my email or in my reader. By now, it’s usually 11:00. Which means that I have to start making my To Do list for the week.
After that, I’ve got to run the weekly errands (Targeting, grocery shopping, etc) so that I can have the rest of the week to work without interruptions.
And that means that I don’t do any “real” work until Tuesday.
Which means that Tuesdays are my real Mondays.
Sigh.
Happy Tuesday.
