15209678Full title:  Make the Impossible Possible: One Man’s Crusade to Inspire Others to Dream Bigger and Achieve the Extraordinary by Bill Strickland with Vance Rause.

Synopsis(www.barnesandnoble.com)

Over the past thirty years, Bill Strickland has been transforming the lives of thousands of people through the creation of Manchester Bidwell, a jobs training center and community arts program. Working with corporations, community leaders, and schools, he and his staff strive to give disadvantaged kids and adults the opportunities and tools they need to envision and built a better, brighter future.

I don’t read a lot of biographies or memoirs (unless they are funny), but I was having one of those days last week (in much need of inspiration and motivation) and Suzanne told me to get this book.  Being a Rebel Just Because, it’s sometimes hard to do what folks tell you.  On this particular day, the little voice was telling me to listen and then act.  Which I did.

I read the book yesterday (thank goodness for rainy days).  I was unaware of Bill Strickland, but I have to say that I will be doing some serious googling of him later this week.

He’s an ordinary guy who has accomplished extraordinary things.  Just because he decided to do so.  Pretty cool.

If you like memoirs and would like something quick and inspiring, check it out.

My review- I liked it.  (And I’ve passed it on to The Man, as I know it’s right up his alley.)
