Within My Grasp

465899_babys_handI am not a patient person.

I want what I want when I want it.

When I buy a car, it usually takes me six months to a year to research various models and decide on what I want to buy next.

Once my decision is made, I am on the lot and walking away with my vehicle within a few hours. (I have found no way to walk in, make your purchase and leave within a reasonable amount of time- even when you go to the lot with your own financing.  I wonder if car salesmen get paid extra for keeping you there for hours?)

I may take a long time to actually MAKE a decision, but once my mind is made up, I’m ready for action.

The Man often tells me that God doesn’t wear a watch, so things are not going to happen on my time. They are going to happen when they are supposed to happen.

Imagine how hard this is for a control freak with big dreams.

Over the last year, I’ve made some decisions about my personal and professional life that were huge. I’ve taken steps and moved close to my goals.  I’m ready for the next big thing.

I just wish God would keep up.

Hey Linda- I’m sure you can understand (and no offense intended re: the car salesmen). I’m ready for the jump off. I can feel that it’s coming. I just don’t know when. And that makes me crazy. LOL

All right Diva. You know good and well that even though you think you are ready for some things, you soon find out you aren’t, and that’s why God sometimes makes you wait for them. I can appreciate the impatience part though, there are things that are hard to wait for, but it makes it even sweeter sometimes once you get them. I definitely appreciate the car salesman analogy as well.

LOL- you are so right Chris. I’m always talking to God about the lessons I need to learn so that I can move on to the next thing. I’m thinking patience is on that list. LOL
