Minor Adjustments
Happy July. Whatever.
I’m going through some things.
Took The Girl to Virginia last weekend. She won’t be coming home in August as usual. She will be starting high school in VA in the fall. Much better schools and living year round with her dad for the next four years. Shared parenting in action. I am now the “holiday/summer” parent. I never thought I’d say these words, but – It sucks! I miss her terribly.
Work is work.
Writing is kicking my ass with a capital Kick Ass. Probably because I’ve been so distracted. So, I’m working on getting calm and zen. Yeah- I know- good luck with that.
I got 4 submissions for my online publishing venture. One I really loved, one that was workable, and two that are not a good fit for DFB. The one I really loved was too long for what I need, but a great story. The author wasn’t too thrilled about cutting her baby in half. I get that. So, long story short, the online publishing thing is on hold for awhile.
Which brings me to my photo. It’s supposed to be an explosion. I know it doesn’t look like it, but I like the pic. Just pretend it’s an explosion- which is what I don’t want to happen when I start tinkering with my website tonight. Behind the scenes tweaking to make the site more user friendly. Getting rid of the membership thing, and just being a blog for a while. There’ll be some fiction, my book reviews, and my rantings about writing and life. Although, I don’t think I rant as much as I ramble. Either way, it’s my world- feel free to visit whenever.

@ Yas- I am really working on this going with the flow stuff. You know how us control freaks are. And doing the right thang sometimes sucks. LOL. But, hey, it’s not about me, it’s about The Girl and making sure she has the best opportunities her parents can provide. BTW, how is the college visiting coming along?

I can only imagine how you must be feeling. For the record, I think what you and her dad decided will be for the best. Agree with Yas about going with the flow. Things will work out for you! Keep on blogging, I love it! OH and the pic reminds me of a street race. You know after the fact. Well I love speed!
Hey Nardsbaby- thanks for the encouraging words. I know that with time, it will become the “new” normal. LOL at the street race idea. I didn’t think of that. When I looked at it again, I have to totally agree with you.
