Dear Santa,
I’m pretty sure that you don’t get many letters from grown-ups, but I thought I would just put it out there, in case you were feeling a tad bit generous towards the over 40 crowd this year.
Really, I hope you don’t want me to get into the whole naughty/nice thing, ’cause, we kind of know that’s all relative.
I’m not asking for much, just one of the following:
The Nook, or course. B&N says it’s not available until January ’cause they have pre-sold their loot. But you know, you being Santa …

You are taking a leap. The securities that come with working for someone else don’t exist for the self-employed.

Go. Enjoy time with your family.
And eat.
And sleep.
And walk it off.
And eat some more.
Or is that just me?

Our days started with a round of emails, phone calls, or office visits to see what everyone’s schedule looked like and who wanted to be counted in for lunch.

My daughter steals my pens with such regularity that it’s become a game. I leave crappy ones lying around in hopes that she will take those instead. No dice.

This week, I decided to excerpt from my e-book. ‘Cause I’m busy writing. I’m working on getting you a new story by next week. Work with me people.
