Jumping The Tracks…

23 July 2010 712 views 2 Comments

Life happens and you end up jumping the tracks.

Your best laid plans get scrapped for the major and minor emergencies that seem to happen one right after the other (both real and imagined).

At some point, you stop and realize that you can’t control the chaos, and since you know you’ll never be prepared for the next upheaval, you decide to revisit your master plan. Or create a new one. Whatever works for you.

And after a year of sorrow, anger, and uncertainty, it’s time for me to get back to what I love. I started this website because I love writing and reading. I’ve been reading, but writing- not so much.

Until now…

My passion never left. It just hung out in the background waiting for me to get my head out of my ass and notice it.

I’ve even got some new ideas brewing. And it’s time for me to get ‘em going. In the meantime, while I’m working out the details and doing some real writing, I’ll be posting short blurbs about what I’ve read over the last few months.

Gotta warm up my writing muscles before I forge full steam ahead.

For those of you who hung in there with me- thanks for your support and continued encouragement. It’s what helped me break through.

We’ve all been there. I visit this place more often than I should. I hear the advice to “Keep writing no matter what” but that is so hard to do sometimes. It’s like you said, “Life happens…” and we react to all that we really can’t control.

Glad to read that you’re trying to get back on track. I’ve been missing your updates. I’m going to use your message as a motivator for myself and get back to writing.

    Thanks and Keep Writing!
