As holidays go, Independence Day is a good one.  And while I usually lay low during the holidays (not a big fan of hustle and bustle), I will be mulling over what Independence means in my personal and professional life.  And drawing up a plan.
Why think about something if you aren’t going to do anything about it?

Took The Girl to Virginia last weekend.  She won’t be coming home in August as usual.  She will be starting high school in VA in the fall.  Much better schools and living year round with her dad for the next four years. I went to the wedding of my former sister-in-law this weekend. This is her second marriage, and she looked REALLY happy.  And the groom looked REALLY happy.  And it made me think that sometimes when I go to weddings, neither party looks REALLY happy about what they are doing.
It could be that one or both parties are hung over from the bachelor/bachelorette parties.
Or it could be that they are just very serious people.
