I am passionate about so many things: reading, writing, social justice, bad-ass boots, and finding great desserts. And those are just drops in the bucket.
Last night while yelling at the television during the local news, The Man turned to me and suggested that I run for office.
blink. blink. blink.
He floored me mid-rant. Only because not 24 hours earlier, I had the same thought. I just hadn’t gotten around to expressing it to him.
I get so frustrated with the status quo in my country, my state, my county, …

OK, so my friend T has more books than I can shake a stick at. Her den will induce book envy in even the most die-hard bibliophile. But the coup de’ gras is her guest bathroom. She has a bookshelf of an appropriate size loaded with cool reading material.
When The Man and I consolidated homes (i.e., moved in together) the question of what to do with all of my books came up. Basically, he didn’t think it was cool for me to keep them in boxes and piles in the living …

Love the song by Elton John. Plus I just love catchy post titles.
I’m back.
A little sad some days.
A little twisted at times.
But here, nonetheless.
Should make for very interesting writing.
I know that I need to finish Riding The Wave for you guys. In fact, it’s all plotted out. Just need to do the actual “writing” part. And I will. I promise I will. I may give you one big, long ending, instead of a few “bytes” here and there. We’ll see. I do what my muse tells me these days. And …

No posts for the past week.
No pic today.
Real life has been happening and on July 30th it caught up with me and slowed things down to a crawl.
It’s Monday morning, and I’m getting back to life as I know it. Which includes writing. And finishing my serial story.
Just wanted to give you guys a heads up.
And thanks to everyone who supported my family after the loss of my sister. It really meant a lot to us.
Stephanie (Riding The Wave) and her “little problem” are back on Wednesday.

thanks for your show about nothing.
It paved the way for internet navel gazing- also known as personal blogging. I believe in giving credit where it’s due.
I’m not hating (seeing as I fit into this category).
Just drawing some obvious conclusions.
Sincerely,
Diva
It’s Tuesday. I’m trying to finish some fiction for the website for August, as well as make money to pay bills. What do you want from me?

Me after boot camp on Friday.
Actually, I couldn’t move my arms.
ALL WEEKEND.
Seriously, I cannot describe the amount of pain I experienced in the aftermath.
Feeling better now. Will get back to writing today.
I will not complain about running again.
At least until the memory of boot camp soreness and inability to move arms wears off.

Because of my consulting gig, I travel back and forth from Charleston to Columbia for meetings, which means that I have a lot of time in the car. Alone.
This is fine. I listen to the TJMS if it’s morning, or my iPod.
Sometimes, I just drive in silence and think. Yes, I still actually have the ability to do that.
And writing is ALWAYS on my mind.
The theme for this week is censorship. And I’ve been mentally checking myself and my writing for ways that I censor.
Here is my list:
I only hit …

As holidays go, Independence Day is a good one. And while I usually lay low during the holidays (not a big fan of hustle and bustle), I will be mulling over what Independence means in my personal and professional life. And drawing up a plan.
Why think about something if you aren’t going to do anything about it?

Happy July. Whatever.
I’m going through some things.
Took The Girl to Virginia last weekend. She won’t be coming home in August as usual. She will be starting high school in VA in the fall. Much better schools and living year round with her dad for the next four years. Shared parenting in action. I am now the “holiday/summer” parent. I never thought I’d say these words, but – It sucks! I miss her terribly.
Work is work.
Writing is kicking my ass with a capital Kick Ass. Probably because I’ve been so …
